The 'secret' Spotify trick nobody knows about to find any song stuck in your head: 'I had no idea this existed'
- Spotify users can type song lyrics into the search bar to look for tracks
- Users can also narrow search results by genre, year, and record label
Thousands are stunned after only just discovering a Spotify feature that allows users to search for their favourite ear-worm by typing the lyrics directly into the search bar.
Users can use the search function to locate songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists, moods, podcast, and profiles.
It is also possible to look up radio stations and upcoming concerts and official merchandise for a certified artist.
'If you don't know a song's title, search at least 3 words from its lyrics. Songs with those lyrics show Lyrics match in the results,' a Spotify official wrote in a guide.

How to find specific songs and artists
Spotify also allows listeners to include (use: 'AND' or '+') or exclude (use: 'NOT' or '-') certain words from their search.
For instance: Lady Gaga NOT Dance will display all Lady Gaga tracks except with the word 'Dance'.
How to combine searches
If you're looking for songs from a certain time period, you can search for a range of years but exclude some.
For example: year:1975-2000 NOT year:1981
You can find music by genre and year by searching: genre:folk AND year:1985
How to find a mood or music that matches your vibe
Spotify has special, curated playlists for most times of day, activities, moods, and feelings.
You can browse the genres and moods available by scrolling through your 'Discover' page - or search for something more in-line with what you are looking for.
Users can simply type in words like 'happy', 'workout', 'dance party', 'long bath' and more.
You can use quotation marks with a search term to narrow the results to garner exact matches - for example, 'Adore You' or 'You're wonder under summer sky'
Thousands are shocked that they never knew they could use the search bar for such specific functions.
'This is a great trick, I won't have to go through pages of Google search results anymore!'
'My mind is blown, I will definitely be using this.'
