Venture and tech are better if the people in it reflect the backgrounds and experiences of the world we live in. So, six years ago, we created the Costanoa Access Fellowship. And we’ve benefited from the work and perspectives of eight amazing Access Fellows since, Javaughn Lawrence, Sophie Lalonde, Lindsey Wilcox, Alline Kabbatende, Divya Raghavan, Earl Lee, Evaline Tsai, and our most recent fellow Pallavi Hukerikar who all have joined us each summer, working as part of our investment team, looking at new sectors and opportunities for us, and helping us think in new ways while learning the world of venture. They became invaluable contributors to our team and key members of our network.
Even last summer, when we were all still remote, Pallavi joined us from Toronto – our farthest-flung team member yet! – and became an integral part of our team — attending pitches, digging into a startup’s financials, writing deep industry dives, and more. As a former product manager at Duolingo, Pallavi’s operating experience helped her (and us!) assess products and better understand their potential impact. We’re so glad to have her just across the street (metaphorically speaking) at Stanford, where she’s getting her MBA, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds.
You, too, could be an Access Fellow at Costanoa! We expect to be hybrid this coming summer – some in-person in our fun new office in SF’s Mission Bay, some remote (but we’re also open to a fully-remote Fellowship if you are in a different state). Who should apply?
While our Access Fellowship is targeted to graduate students with a few years of business experience, we are open to all candidates with a demonstrated love of technology and/or entrepreneurship within the US or Canada, regardless of educational background, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, upbringing, or professional experience.

What is the time commitment for this program?
This is a full-time opportunity from June – August, and you are available during PST work zone to collaborate during team meetings and pitches.
Will Access Fellows be compensated?
Access Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of $8K.
