BPD: Girl has medical emergency, dies at Jastro Park

Bakersfield, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department said a girl is dead after having a medical emergency at Jastro Park Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 8 at 2900 Truxtun Avenue.

Police got a call requesting medical aid at Jastro Park. When they got there, they found a girl having a medical emergency.

Officers provided medical aid until Bakersfield Fire and Hall Ambulance personnel arrived and began providing advanced life support care.

She was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

No word on what caused that medical emergency.
