Jennifer Harlan

Jennifer Harlan is a staff editor on the Special Projects desk. Since joining The New York Times in 2014, she has covered books, natural disasters and the opioid crisis and reported for Past Tense, The Times's archival storytelling project.

She has a degree in comparative literature and French studies from Brown University and is a co-author of “Finish the Fight!: The Brave and Revolutionary Women Who Fought for the Right to Vote,” which was named a best book of the year by the New York Public Library and selected as a 2020 honor book by the Jane Addams Peace Association, and of “Call and Response: The Story of Black Lives Matter.”
