Help Bryonna, Everly, and Zack

Update: Bryonna lost her battle with Melanoma last night at 24 years old. The last few months have been extremely difficult for their family. Bryonna spent most of it hospitalized due to complications from the metastasis of her cancer. The family could still use your help with covering medical and funeral costs as well as offering support for Zack and Everly. Any bit helps. 

Bryonna is 23 years old. A few weeks ago she was admitted to the hospital at 34 weeks pregnant because they found a 10cm mass collapsing one of her lungs. She was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma, meaning it had metastasized all over her body, including to her placenta and possibly to the baby. Because of the pressure of the mass, collapsed lung, and baby, she was in incredible pain and having difficulty breathing. She underwent an incredibly dangerous c-section and was told it was likely she would not make it through the procedure. Bryonna and her baby both came out fighting. The baby went to the NICU and is doing very well.

After some tests this week or next, baby Everly may be released home. This complicates things further. Bryonna is still in the hospital, in extraordinary pain, and struggling to breathe. Her boyfriend Zack, the father of the baby, has not left her side since day 1 but will now have to go home and care for a newborn preemie on his own, leaving his partner in the hospital without support.

They need your help. Zack is applying to stay at the Ronald McDonald House with the baby. Regardless of whether he’s able to do so, they both have been unable to work for almost a month now and they need money for food, baby items, etc. If Ronald McDonald falls through, he needs somewhere to stay that is close to the hospital. And after this nightmare is over, they will be inundated with hospital bills plus the cost of ongoing treatment so Bryonna can keep fighting.
