Universal Hydrogen moves flight testing to California successfully ferrying aircraft 800 nautical miles

Universal Hydrogen has selected the Mojave Air & Space Port in California as its new test centre and announced the successful ferry flight of its Dash-8 regional aircraft with hydrogen powertrain equipped to one side.

Signalling the next phase in its flight testing programme, the company has revealed that following the aircraft’s inaugural flight in March (2023), it has completed four subsequent flights, one for 30 minutes at 170 knots ascending to 5,000ft, while the third and fourth reached altitudes of 10,000ft.
