Subscribe → Receive Emails directly into your inbox

Follow → See notes in the Substack app/desktop.

• If you only follow someone you will not receive emails from them

• Following someone means you engage with them as you would on any other social media platform

Subscribing to someone means you will receive emails from them even if you do not use the app and do not read notes.

Follow → Broad & superficial

Subscribe → Intimate & in-depth
