As someone whose brand is Too Old for This Sh*t, this. I wrote my first book at 58, my second at 59, reinvented myself as an international adventure athlete at 60 which I kickstarted by climbing Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp and Macchu Picchu in seven months with side trips to all kinds of countries to ride horses. This this and this. For crying out loud, STOP GIVING UP BECAUSE OF A NUMBER. Being able to do these things takes work- work on your dietary habits and your body. That is also a reinvention. I’m in the middle of another reinvention at 72. It never stops until YOU say it does. And you ARE Too Old for this Shit- you and I are Too Old to be crippled by ageist bullshit. Thanks to both of you, Sally Doran
Thank you Desiree Brown-Quilty for featuring my story of reinvention on your podcast side of The Second Bloom. If you think being in your 50s and 60s is too old to go off the map and explore new paths in your life, listen in to hear more about my experiments with life.
