After walking 2,300 miles over 109 days, Buddhist monks leading the Walk for Peace arrived in Washington, DC to complete their cross-country pilgrimage.
They marched to promote nonviolence, compassion, interfaith unity, and peace in a deeply divided time, walking city to city, praying, meeting communities, and calling for healing instead of hate.
At the Lincoln Memorial, thousands gathered to close the journey together.
