Marc Andreessen on hiring: intelligence is highly overrated.

Criteria he looks for instead:

Drive that exists independent of pedigree. People who will walk through brick walls without being asked.

Curiosity that's self-sustaining. People who stay deep in their craft because they want to, not because they have to.

And ethics as a non-negotiable. Avoid any whiff of less than stellar.
