Yes, this hasn't been a good year for layoffs.
The 744K announced job cuts this year far outpace any year since 2020. But, the layoffs have been decreasing month over month the last four months.
And they're back to the monthly amt we saw last year.

DEMAND SIDE
This is where things are looking better.
After sustained bumps in hiring at the beginnings of 2024 and 2025, we're seeing job postings at US based tech companies up 45% from the lows.
There's a new stable amount of 235Kish job openings.

The supply of tech workers still exceeds demand.
But it's an improving picture:

Demand is increasing
So most job seekers are not getting the huge raises of years past, but they are able to secure jobs.
