The after-effects of stunning special effects unleashed by ‘Star Wars,’ is a tiresome addiction to special effects. It’s time Hollywood went into recovery and focused more on character-driven stories.
I have never been so busy or tired and I may never write again. And yet…

I have used ChatGPT to summarize my Space Traipse stories, but I do go back and fix errors. Still saves me 80% of the work. However, I DO NOT want Amazon to use it to summarize my stuff on thier site.
“Young men should adopt Lewis & Tolkien as masculine role models. Scholars, war heroes, feasting on the nectar of ancient poetry in rain-drenched pubs—and both a million times cooler than Andrew Tate.”

My focus here on Substack is building community. I don't worry too much about subscriber count. I try to post at least one encouraging note every day (sometimes several!) I engage with other writers and readers by responding to their notes. When I read a newsletter post I enjoy, I do the Substack hat trick: I like the post, repost, and leave a friendly comment.
As a matter of fact, I have seen consistent growth in my subscriber list since I started these simple community oriented practices, but …
meet-up last night. I expected lots of conversation about old characters, favorite episodes, why everyone likes Katie better than Jesse, etc but people most talked about normal stuff.
Jack Black is a movie star, the Internet isn't the real world and kids will show up to theaters if Hollywood makes big tentpoles that aren't entirely rehashes of their parents or grandparents' favorite franchises.

I am interested in finding other writers to follow and read. While my main interests are theology, church, culture, and mission, I read pretty broadly. Want to share your writing? Comment by telling a bit about your Substack and share one of your favorite essays you’ve written. I’d love to read what you share (and see others connect as well).

This diorama at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC recreates the Theodore Roosevelt Bird Sanctuary in Oyster Bay. This very spot is less than two miles from the house where I grew up. It's always a joy to know that my hometown is represented at my favorite museum.

Maybe we can work together with yourself and GeoFolkers to do a retrospective here on all those materials. Maybe a multipart set of posts that share and recontextualize the writings etc

Can someone out there square this for me, because it makes utterly no sense. Carney announces that Canada’s economic, security and military ties are over???? And then he has a phone call with Trump and everything is hunky dory and Mark’s a great guy and things between Canada and the US are going to improve? WTF!!! How the hell does this make any sense at all.
