The app for independent voices

I feel your pain. Sadly, now that Stripe has stopped accepting new Indian businesses I don’t think Substack will be able to do anything until Stripe gets its act together. Or Substack needs to find new partners for working with Indian creators, but this market is not their priority. It’s also equally sad that a platform like Stripe which is powering almost all of the world’s online payments has shunned Indian businesses and the Indian govt doesn’t care.

My learning has been that we have to use our newsletter as a medium to build reach and then go beyond that to monetize.

Living in India means everything is extra hard to achieve as compared to a first world country, and that is turning out to be true even on the internet.
