I have three anniversaries on our shared Google calendar - the day we met (First Meet Anniv), the day we said I love you (Love Anniv), and our wedding day (Anniv).
Joe considers only The Anniversary the real one. He pokes fun at my American millennial interest in recognizing all participants. But he accepts First Meet has credence.
The least respectable anniversary is my favorite. Because if that night I hadn’t admitted I loved him, would he have admitted he’d already researched the ways we could be together, including eloping to Gibraltar? Our meeting was lucky; beautiful, magical luck, but happenstance. Us marrying was a logical conclusion. Romantic, incredible, and a scored goal, but it was majorly assisted by the earth-shaking legwork of Love Day - September 18th.
Today is our Love Anniversary. And despite its credibility, Joe was the first to acknowledge it this morning 🥰
