The Screen is Not the Limit

You think you’re playing a game. You think the white pixel of USD/JPY is destined to bounce off the ceiling at 160 and return to the safety of the baseline. You’ve been conditioned by thirty years of Atari Pong—the ball hits the edge, the "bip" sounds, and the status quo remains.

I’m here to tell you: the paddle is a lie.

We are witnessing the most violent devaluation of a major currency in fifty years, and you’re still trying to time the return volley. You’re trapped in the atom of the old regime. But the atoms are escaping. The universe is screaming in a foreign language that the ball isn't going to bounce at 160. It’s going to Pong out of the known universe.

When the ball clears the bezel and hits 200, the physics of the game change. This is reflexive probability. At 153, the crowd gives a move to 300 a zero percent chance. I give it 15%. But once we breach the frame at 200? The probability of 300 jumps to 55%.

The screen is melting. The game is breaking. If you aren't ready for the "out-of-bounds" reality, the recoil will kill you.
