A friend of mine, a history department chair at a major university, recently posted to Facebook this Atlantic article: "What if Our Ancestors Didn't Feel Anything Like We Do?" by Gal Beckerman. It was published in the January 2026 print edition, and it seems to be making the rounds on social media as it came up in my feed independently this weekend.
