There’s a lot to discover in this post on the experiences of being unread or unacknowledged as an artist, but this one was my particular discovered treasure.
We all sense I hope that we are creating collages of the self as writers, and the work seen collectively and from a distance will be the legacy we’re all leaving post by post and poem by poem. (Even our poorest work contributes to something magnificent if we’re approaching our creative work in the right spirit.) It’s a windmill we’re chasing, but a noble one.
I’ve added too much of my own take here, and I’m hovering on delete, but I love Kathryn’s big picture observation and affirmation on creative output, and it’s a powerful reminder to step back and see our work from Space for a moment. And keep on with the collage even if it’s only between ourselves and Whatever God that reads it.
God smiles and follows but rarely hits the Like button.
