"We did a very good job with the team overnight finding solutions to actually put a lot more front in the car, and today I had a lot more control, it suited a lot more my style. Managed to just commit on this track, having a lot of faith in what the car could do.

"And it was definitely, I'm not going to say, a surprise, but a very good showing from the team to be able to unlock that much performance and on the track that, on paper, were a little worried about."
