It’s wild we’re very likely less than a year away from long stretches at or near 2C warming and there is zero public acknowledgement or discussion.

I know mainstream news and elected officials are captured by big money and have been for years… but still, it’s so eerie to experience the black out in real time.

There is absolutely no guarantee civilization can withstand temperatures that high, this fast.

In a functioning society Governors and Mayors would already be prepping new firefighting plans, bolstering power grids and infrastructure, rolling out awareness campaigns, etc etc

But as we all know “functioning society” would be low on the list of descriptors most would use to characterize the U.S. and Western nations these days.

Remember to have a plan for quick evacuation, clean water, food, medical care etc. It might get nuts in a way that defies what we can imagine.
