ADHD at 43 is understanding that 28 years of being the person who "always has a plan" wasn't organization. It was fear.
You over-planned because unplanned moments left your brain unsupervised. And unsupervised brains make decisions you spend the next 3 days regretting.
Every over-packed calendar. Every backup plan for the backup plan. Every vacation itinerary that read like a military operation. That wasn't type-A energy. That was a nervous system trying to prevent the chaos it knew it was capable of.
The planning was never about control. It was about not trusting your brain in open water.
