ADHD is not being able to organize your own closet for 3 months but spending 4 hours building your friend a complete moving checklist with a timeline, labeled box categories, and a day-of logistics plan. Unprompted.
Your brain didn't prefer their problem over yours. Their problem came with novelty, a clear endpoint, and someone else's gratitude. Yours came with no deadline, no audience, and a closet full of decisions your brain refuses to make for itself.
You are not selfish for struggling with your own stuff. You are wired for external activation. There is a difference.
