I’m not a finance guy.

The last MD was.

I’m a creative, a puzzles guy, a strategist.

A really curious, pedantic, obsessed with the details, can’t stand an open loop guy.

So I’m at the office late right now, tracing every single “admin cost” back to source and it’s not making sense.

My divisions are actually making a profit, but misallocation of costs is making them look like losers.

And I’d much rather lead winners.

So yea, work’s gonna be fun tomorrow. It’s always fun when the finance guys hear questions they never expected from me.

But my father always tells me that management is about asking the right questions, and tonight I have several.

Life is good.
