A local Facebook page in Kabul's PD12 reported that a medical doctor narrowly escaped being killed after armed robbers allegedly fired one shot at him, while a second shot was prevented when the pistol reportedly malfunctioned.

The same source had earlier shared CCTV footage allegedly showing a man robbing an elderly woman of her valuables in broad daylight.

Critics argue that despite Taliban claims of improved security, public safety challenges, including street crime, remain a concern and continue to affect people's sense of safety.
