The most expensive part of amazon.de is sometimes the last 15 seconds.
Not the product. The autopilot.
My rule is simple:
Compare the item price with the final price at checkout.
Check the delivery date, not just “fast delivery” language.
Look for shipping, import, or seller-specific charges before you place the order.
Why?
Because once the page feels familiar, your brain treats the purchase as finished – even when the costly details are only now becoming clear.
Spot it: What got clearer only at the end?
Micro-rule: No payment until you’ve checked
price after checkout, delivery date, extra fees.
Small pause. Fewer avoidable mistakes. Less wasted money and time.
