Cristina does a great job responding to another Substacker’s prompt — a clever exercise in getting AI to drop the veil.

Here’s my own stark learning: I didn’t realize people had to be taught that.

Reading it expanded my empathy. It also made me reflect on why I find it relatively easy to see through AI’s responses.

• My college marketing classes taught me how to spot a marketing ploy from a mile away

• Perhaps living in large cities helps too.

But I forgot something important: most people haven’t had those

experiences.

And that gap between what is obvious (to data scientists and marketers) and what needs to be learned is where big tech exploits.
