🌸 International Women's Day | 8 March 2026 | #IWD2026 | #PassItOn

My first #PassItOn nomination is Karen Smiley and the whole SheWritesAI community.

When I published my first AI bias post I was still figuring out if I belonged here, Karen messaged me, not a like, not a restack, a real message, and if that hadn't happened I'm honestly not sure I'd still be writing. She built She Writes AI because a 2024 roundup featured ten men writing about AI on Substack and zero women, so she just built the directory herself, six hundred writers from sixty countries, all volunteer-run, because she saw the gap and filled it. That's who she is, and that's why she's my first nomination πŸ‘.

Passing it on to:

Dinah Davis Dinah | Code Like A Girl

Karen Brasch Karen Brasch 🚁 | AI Flight Plan

Alyssa Fu Ward Alyssa Fu Ward, PhD | Step Up Step Together

Cristina Patrick Cristina | The Responsible AI Brief

Rebecca Wicker The Strategic Linguist | The Strategic Linguist

Nominate one woman who made a difference to you, write the real reason why, restack this Note tagging up to five more people and keep it going. Full thread here:

Repeat as many times as you want. πŸ™ There is no time limit, no end date!
