The Systems of Record (ServiceNow, SAP, Workday and others) are adapting rapidly to AI and all are vying to become the AI Operating System of the Enterprise.
ServiceNow started in ITSM, SAP in the ERP, and Workday in HCM, but all want to be the 'single pane of glass' their customers use to deploy agents.
ServiceNow can claim successful expansion into CRM workflows, whilst SAP has been vocal about its ‘best-of-suite’ philosophy starting with mission-critical ERP data. Workday is naturally extending its system of record from human workers to digital workers (agents).
It’ll be fascinating to see this contest unfold in the enterprise.
