The Arabs used to say to a person when they advised them about something:
"Place it in your suwayda' al-qalb," meaning in its deepest depths.
Al-Asma'i said:
Al-Suwayda is the diminutive of "sawda'," and it is a black clot within the heart, and if the heart is split open, it appears as if it were a piece of liver.
وإني لأهجُرُ الأمكنةَ كلّها، ولا أبتغي سَكَنًا غير سويدائِكَ.
