POST, the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology, is seeking support for the further liberalisation of surrogacy law in the UK. Surrogacy is an industry that profits from inequality, promotes entitlement, and endangers health. It severs the mother/child bond, and promotes the commodification of body parts. Its deconstruction of reproductive sex encourages the creation of ‘designer babies’.

Surrogacy shouldn’t be further liberalised, it should be banned.
