NEW OPENINGS

Casa Tua Cucina Wynwood

Miami Beach. Brickell. New York. Aspen. And now Wynwood. Casa Tua Cucina opened its second Miami location April 17 inside the NoMad Residences, 18,500 square feet, ten open kitchen stations, handmade pasta, wood-fired everything, crudo, gelato, and a full Italian mercato. The market-style format that turned Brickell into a one-million-guests-a-year machine now belongs to Wynwood. Every neighborhood has a before and after. Wynwood’s before was graffiti tours and warehouse parties. The after starts with handmade pasta for everyone.

400 Vinyl Room

Right next to Yamashiro. Sixty seats, vinyl only. The original 400 Club was Yamashiro Hollywood’s private room in the 1920s, where the studios cut their deals and the stars cut loose. The new space is a love letter to 1970s LA hi-fi and Tokyo’s late-night listening bar tradition. There is a lot of serious audio equipment Technics SL-1200s, Euphonia rotary mixer, K-array Dragons, engineered by DRVCS. No bottle service. Spirit-forward cocktails, Champagne by the glass, and tableside caviar. Friday and Saturday from 7 PM. Sounds fun.

Buccan Sandwich Shop

The Palm Beach cult favorite opened on Miracle Mile Saturday, May 9, the gourmet lunch counter that built its reputation on the beef carpaccio baguette has arrived. It’s been one of South Florida’s most-talked-about quick lunches for years, and now it’s ours. This is just the opening move. Chef Clay Conley is bringing the full trifecta down, Buccan and Imoto follow later this year, planting one of Palm Beach’s most respected restaurant groups firmly in Coral Gables. The Gables dining scene just got a serious upgrade.
