It is remarkable that, despite the literally trillions of dollars these companies are raking in every year at the moment, the basic user experience of Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, and Twitter’s services seems to have markedly deteriorated for most of us.

This is probably indicative of what an increasing amount of society will feel like in an AI-dominated future. Also, considering how much of the world economy is currently being gambled on something that is destroying so much value while producing limited gains for most people, it is hard not to anticipate a devastating bill about to come due.
