The app for independent voices

Many politicians get elected, and they think their work is over, as opposed to just having begun. They get comfortable, particularly if they were required to work hard to get there and they were marginalized and mocked previously. This was the case for Meloni; she failed to rise to the momentum. She thought all she was required to do is little to nothing, that the hardest part of the journey was behind her. She thought being the “most stable government the country ever had since the end of the war” was a positive as opposed to a liability. Our country isn't unstable, quite the opposite - it suffers from stagnation, lack of energy and dynamism because of an ossified bureaucracy and few opportunities for growth. And if your response to regression is to stabilize that process, you're done. This is why the electorate voted against her in the referendum. We need action, change. Not “stability”.
