Young stall vendor, São Luís, Brazil

São Luís began as a Portuguese colony. Time and salt air softened it—the azulejos fading, their geometry loosening—while the city’s fabric grew richer through African, Indigenous, and European heritages. In this candid portrait, the past lingers quietly in the worn blues, a backdrop for the unassuming, yet powerful features of a young stall vendor.

Aminus3 Photography not sure if this is my best pic of the year, probably not, but I chose it because it stands at the intersection of all I cherish in photography: travel, candid and street.
