Make money doing the work you believe in

I went to a farmer’s market yesterday in the town over from mine.

I spoke to a woman who was selling locally harvested meat from her farm. Her farm is very much an active operation with a name, clientele, and nearly 100 acres of land used to support the farming.

This individual told me they have been approached by SIX different solar companies, aggressively, to lease over their actively farmed land. Six!

For those who think solar poachers target unused farmland or hay fields… this is a farm that’s actively feeding our local communities. They’re not farming ethanol. They’re raising meat that’s feeding families.

But since they have nearly 100 acres of land, foreign solar conglomerates are trying to convince them to walk from their business and lease over the farmland.

Do you understand how concerning this is? Do you understand the food autonomy crisis incoming if this isn’t addressed? If the green energy subsidies and credits aren’t pulled?

This should be the number one story local news channels are covering.

We are losing the land that actually feeds us, in real-time, to corporations that originate thousands of miles away.

The NY politicians know this. And they’re OK with it. That’s why we have two options here. Either we sue or the federal government needs to intervene.
