Damn, it took me so fucking long, but after 6 months, I finally finished stitching the first colour of this butterfly cross-stitch piece. There is still a lot ahead of me, but I think it’s already beautiful.

This is a reminder that progress can be infuriatingly slow, but it’s important to keep going anyway, because one day, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come. I started with a single black cross in September, and while the butterfly hasn’t quite unfolded its colourful potential just yet, it has emerged.
