The app for independent voices

10 years ago, I started Car Window Poetry. It’s exactly what it sounds like: you write poems and place them on people’s car windshields. Almost like a parking ticket—but the good kind!

Car Window Poetry got featured on NBC Nightly News in November 2016. It grew from there, and the cards have now been downloaded over 1,300 times by people around the world.

Car Window Poetry was a special time in my life, but I stopped a few years later when I moved to Columbus, Ohio. Simply put, my heart wasn’t in it anymore.

I didn’t know what was next for me creatively. I thought the best years were behind me. But eventually, I returned to my love for writing.

I started writing personal essays throughout 2022 and even got a shoutout from Kid Cudi. Later that year, I launched my Substack newsletter called Feels Like Home. It now has more than 4,200 subscribers.

I started a local group where we gather twice a month for an hour of uninterrupted writing. Most recently, I launched a monthly album club in Columbus.

I guess my point in sharing all this is: your story isn’t over yet. There’s more life to live—and more memories to be made.
