I just went on my first podcast.
Rishad Tobaccowala invited me on his show Rethinking Work. He's spent decades at the top of advertising and marketing, working with some of the biggest brands in the world. Now he's focused on helping people and organisations navigate the changing nature of work.
We spent 36 minutes talking about The Death of the Corporate Job, why traditional career advice doesn't work anymore, and the problem Truenorth is trying to solve. We got into AI, the future of work, and whether young people are really prepared for what's coming.
What struck me most was the intergenerational perspective. Rishad's been navigating work for far longer than I've been alive, and he's still wrestling with the same questions about meaning and purpose. It reminded me that finding work that matters isn't something you solve at 25 and move on from. It comes up again and again, in different shapes, at different stages.
I'm learning that you don't need to be an expert to spot a problem. But you do need people who've been through it to help you understand it properly. Getting to speak with someone who has that much experience and insight is rare. I'm grateful for it.
