Well friends, I regret to inform you that there will be no article today. Sorry, sometimes it happens.

I could have written about all the shite popping up in my news feed, but every opinionated twat-waffle with a jack-wagon to hitch their ass to has already done that, and I don’t like doing current events anyway. Hell, my Notes feed is wearying enough, but at least it’s proven a point I’ve already made several times by now: the “periphery against the centre” is a far more valid way of categorising various political ideals than “left vs. right” or even “libertarian vs. authoritarian,” as demonstrated by the unironic neoliberal ogres telling conservatives, libertarians, socialists, and “progressives” alike to get fucked.

I originally intended today to write an analysis of book XI of the Corpus Hermeticum, but I’m just too tired. I may need to re-read it anyway, since it’s the densest part I’ve read so far. For the uninitiated, this one is titled Of the Common Mind, to Tat, which, like the other books in the Corpus, is a dialogue between the Divine Pymander and at least one other character, usually Hermes Trismegistus. What can I say, my own mind no worky today, I just want to drink rosé and languish in front my air conditioner while watching steam rise off the grass to a veritable orchestra of insects!

In case you can’t tell, today’s weather was on-and-off rain while being very hot. Not fun unless you’re a frog.
