Make money doing the work you believe in
This has probably been posted before, but for those of us who need a reminder, a fine mist spray bottle works wonders on poplin and linen shirts if you don’t feel like getting your iron out! I use a continuous mister bottle for hair that my kids call “the infinite spray bottle” (hilarious but kind of true!), and spray until the fabric is almost saturated. Then I button the top half of the placket and pull and stretch the fabric sections, paying attention to seams and hems. The only downside is it takes about half an hour for it to dry again, unless it is linen, which only takes about 15 minutes. Before and after below, using a very crisp and papery COS menswear shirt. Took 5 minutes. Your shirt won’t look perfectly dry cleaned, but I like the slightly textured look better than the starched and ironed look you get from the dry cleaner.
