i helped my mom pick out this dress for a gala when i was ten, and it became the obsession of my early adolescence. 

tomorrow i turn 27, the same age she was when she had me, and she sent me home with this magical piece of clothing the last time i visited. (i’m turning 27 on the 27th… my golden birthday, you get the vision…)
