I'm working on some projects that have a quick deadline for the newspaper today. I'm listening to a singer-songwriter mix on Spotify, and all of a sudden, I hear Randy Newman singing “I Think It's Going to Rain Today,” and immediately I'm in high school and crying about two middle-aged best friends who have had a life I didn't understand yet.
