absolutely prick the skin-- prick it all over. use a fork, use a knife, whatever-- but it should be done allllll over the bird. i like to do duck at 425 for pink breasts and cooked through legs (this is a old recipe but should work bc i tested it 824 times https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/roast-ducks-potatoes-figs-rosemary)
