‘They’re not for me, silly. I have lots of nieces and nephews. It’s wedding season for the lot!’

‘Suits me, Mary, but I’d understand if you were sick of fruit cake.’

‘That’s not a problem but I’m running out of hat options. I’m not repeating any. Any thoughts?’

‘I could make one from icing. I was joking, Mary. Put the icing gun down nice and slowly. There’s a love.’
