Afternoon, all. Time for a Sunday afternoon flash fiction treat. Hope you enjoy my A Good Show. Also look out for my story on my YouTube channel tomorrow as it links with this one.
A Good Show by Allison Symes
‘I can’t grant retrospective wishes, Missy. They’ll have my wand at best.’
‘I want to reverse my stupidity.’
‘I know but I can deal with your scammer. That’s better. Nice to see you smile.’
‘Could you turn him into something I wish for?’
‘No. There are rules. Leave it to me. I’ll set up a screen, with captions, for you.’
Ten minutes later, pictures of a screaming man with “I’m a cheat” plastered over him were being broadcast in all the worlds the fairy godmother knew.
The screams were caused by the brown bear who was throwing the guy repeatedly. If the guy was sick, the bear could eat him. If the guy wasn’t, the bear had to let him go after twenty minutes.
Missy sat back, a popcorn bucket materialising to her left. Missy smiled.
The fairy godmother knew what it took for it to be a good show.
