Last week we were evacuated from our home due to the Sandy Fire. I packed up the kids and 4 of the 5 dogs and went to my parents house. David stayed back with the horses and his loyal German Shepherd. In those 4 days, I found myself praying a lot. Not for my “stuff”, but for my children to not have to deal with the loss of our home. It made me think of all the things we are faced with as parents these days. We are home now. Our “stuff” intact.
