How do you interpret the Queen of Cups reversed?

In this month’s Oracle (my tarot/dreamwork divinatory offering), I saw her not as the empathic and dreamy monarch, not as gentle water vessel of emotional depth, but as the riptide that pulls you into the deep.

She is reversed, and thus she draws energy downward, to the underworld, to death.
