What I’m currently testing to help grow my newsletter …
👩🏻🔬 I’m in an editorial science experiment to see if I can “newsletter-ify” Instagram.
After 3 years away, jury’s still out.
But here’s what I can say right off the bat:
1️⃣ Showing up with Insta centered on my special interest and NOT focused on me, my personality or my personal life is BRILLIANTLY effective so far.
2️⃣ Also I don’t push myself to do video unless I’m feeling extra relaxed and filming next to the garden. Most everything I’m designing and posting is word-based, word-centric. (Hence: newsletterification.)
3️⃣ I’m finding all kinds of workarounds to bring media flexibility / shine a light on my newsletter without overwhelming myself. And it’s kind of cross-pollinating back into The Editing Spectrum.
