Make money doing the work you believe in
I have come to understand one of tell tale signs of far right fascist ideologies is the inversion of language and morality.
It’s pathologically consistent and embodies the “every accusation is a confession” phenomenon.
It’s so hard to articulate or even talk about it, because they ruin the meaning of words.
It’s this trait of meaning inversion that tells me as clear as day that what we are witnessing is the real life embodiment of evil, and to say otherwise is dangerously underestimating this force.
They say the exact same thing about the left as the left understands about the right. But there’s no moral symmetry or relativism here (except in so far that in the minds of evil, “good” is perceived as bad).
The left is literally about shared decentralized non-concentrated power and shared dignity for all. That’s the opposite of authoritarianism and power corruption. (the left can be corrupted. But once corrupted it’s no longer left ideology. The same is not true for the right.)
Everything about the far right is about control, domination and power hoarding. The only way it’s about liberty is in terms of freedom to be a power hoarder without repercussions.
What scares me is that Curtis Yarvin actually believes what he says. And that is why I think someone like him is an embodiment of pure evil. They actually feel threatened by collective joy, love and empathy.
A five-year-old can see that this is the definition of evil: Being repelled and terrified by love, empathy, sharing, generosity and collective good— that’s the pathology of every villain ever imagined.
Perhaps there’s room for compassion for those literally terrified by things like
diversity (one of the essential ingredients in the perpetuation of life)
cooperation (a critical ingredient, in medicating climate, change and not going extinct)
Dignity and worth of call creatures.
What must be going on inside the heart and soul of somebody like this?
