My TLDR: Yeah, seems like he might be a not-great guy. But the time to have found alternatives was six months (or years) ago, and it’s a damning indictment of the Democratic Party establishment that the best they could find was Janet Mills.

And there is no question that he’s 100% a better option than Susan “I’m concerned but not enough to do anything about it” Collins continuing to be a United States senator, and Trump getting all the judges he wants for the next two years (including some Supreme Court justices.) Soooo here we are!
