Local election happening in Tulsa today. School bond propositions and school board elections.

At 3:45 pm I was voter number 147. Polls are open til 7. This is a staggeringly low number of voters for a critical local election.

When I tell you that the ability to make an impact at the local level is so high - it’s exactly because of this. Low voter engagement. A well put together campaign could make huge waves.

But even more importantly, we have to be engaging our neighbors to vote in these elections. Otherwise a very small portion of the population is making extremely important decisions for our city’s well being and future.
